So devoted was Petrichor that she sacrificed herself to Lājackal in front of the Sacred Flame, giving her own blood to put out the Flame. She obtained the Darkblood Bow and tortured Lājackal for a decade, turning Lājackal into the Darkling and siccing it on Toto’haha. We only see her through the flashbacks of the Sacred Flame.

She killed or tormented the Legendary Beasts. Petrichor the Dark Hunter – We heard about her a lot in Ochette’s story but never met her. Arcanette rewarded her by painfully sacrificing her to put out the Sacred Flame in Flamechurch. OT2 also had some quality of life improvements. The game balance was a bit better and the side areas were a lot of fun. The plot was good, I really liked the character stories, and finally getting a proper connected story at the end was good. I’d still like more interactions between the travelers but it was a step up from the original. I enjoyed OT1 a lot and I enjoyed this game a bit more. I was overleveled for less time and bosses fought at an appropriate level provide a good challenge. I’d say it overall seems easier than that group but not by too much. It’s next to games like Mega Man X2, Donkey Kong Country, and Final Fantasy 12 (PS2 version). Octopath Traveler II measures at a 29.24 compared to a mean of 24.28 and a median of 15.11.
